Christie Simon-Waterman is a highly accomplished Family Nurse Practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. She is known for providing superior standards of care and effective treatment to diverse populations. With a strong nursing and healthcare management background, Christie has demonstrated exceptional leadership and strategic planning abilities throughout her career. Christie has extensive experience as a Clinical Nurse Practitioner, delivering primary acute and specialty health care services. She excels in evaluating patients using professional standards of care and practice, providing clinical advisory, and offering consultation and education to diverse populations. She has collaborated with primary care physicians and healthcare team members to ensure the delivery of clinical excellence, extraordinary service, and compassionate care. In addition to her clinical expertise, Christie has served as a Health Care Consultant for Assisted Living Facilities and Residential Service Agencies. She founded and directed a Residential Service Agency and served as a Clinical Preceptor for Nurse Practitioners and Nursing students, actively contributing to the development of future healthcare professionals. Christie's professional development reflects her commitment to continuous learning and staying at the forefront of healthcare practices. She holds several certifications, including Wound Care Certification (WCC), Diabetic Wound Care Certification (DWCC), American Heart Association CPR Instructor, and Certified Suboxone Provider. Furthermore, Christie is actively involved in professional organizations and advocacy efforts, such as the Maryland Nurses Association (MNA) and the American Nurses Association. She has participated in legislative committees and round-table discussions on healthcare disparities. Christie has held various leadership positions throughout her career, including Director of Nursing and Performance Improvement/Infection Control Manager.
